Asim Rais Siddiqui, Co-founder and CTO of TekRevol, recently appeared on The Matrix Green Pill podcast, hosted by Hilmarie Hutchison. The conversation entailed everything about his humble beginnings, his education, work experience, and how his entrepreneurial journey began and progressed.
Asim’s Entrepreneurial Journey
Asim shared his love and passion for technology and his decade of experience in the tech industry, which drove him to eventually found his own venture. Let’s go over what he had to say about his journey.
Asim’s dream growing up
Being extremely fascinated with computers while growing up, Asim chose to pursue his education in Computer Engineering. His passion only grew after learning more about problem solving during his degree. With a relentless drive and countless ambitions, he chose the career path of a software engineer to further them. Working at numerous organizations, learning new skills, and taking on different job roles, he gained valuable experience navigating the tides of the IT industry.
Starting his own venture
Asim was working a high-paying and fulfilling job at an IT company but felt like he was being limited in different ways. The organization where he was last employed shut down and left him without a job. The uncertainty he faced then was the turning point in his life. After a lot of contemplation and fear, he joined the like-minded Abeer Raza, co-founder and CMO of TekRevol, to start their very own venture. Establishing their own company meant that they could exercise the complete freedom they were unable to enjoy as employees of another organization.
Ambitions for the future
Starting TekRevol with just two people, the company now has over 300 employees working in different offices around the world. It was also listed on Inc. 5000 after experiencing 829% growth in just five years. And the journey is just beginning for TekRevol. Asim has bigger ambitions for the future and for TekRevol. He stressed the importance of finding people who are the right cultural fit for the company. He believes that with the right people around you, you can conquer the world.
Advice for Upcoming Entrepreneurs
The podcast also featured a rapid fire round of questions which Asim aced much to our delight. When asked about a piece of advice he’d give to upcoming entrepreneurs he was quick to talk about being courageous when it comes to taking risks. He reflected on his own personal experience and narrated how he hesitated a lot when starting his own venture and didn’t dare to dream big. Asim encouraged everyone to just go for it and take the risk. You won’t know if it will pay off until you try.
