“Thinking will not overcome fear, but actions will.” -Clement Stone
The L&D team at TekRevol arranged a two-day Bootcamp for the sales team not only as a part of a typical employee engagement activity but an interactive workshop challenging the physical and mental limitations of the sales team.
The purpose was to help the sales team fight through the stereotypical traumas and negativities and master self-control to deliver the best results when on board.
Here are the takeaways from the Sales Bootcamp 2022.
Day 1—mastering Self-Control and Building Confidence
The venue for the 1st day of Bootcamp was Charna Island, a small yet beautiful island located on the boundary of Balochistan and Sindh and a popular hotspot for weekend getaways.
The main objective of the first day was to train our competitive sales team to overcome fear and build confidence through experimental learning. Multiple challenging activities were arranged, like ice bathing and cliff jumping.
The team was pushed to deliver the best output in the ice bathing challenge, and many successfully mastered the activity by staying in the tub for over 15 minutes.
Despite the mixed results, the purpose was loud and clear—being resilient and persistent in the face of failures.
Day 2—Comprehending the Learned
The team gathered at TekRevol Lounge on the second day and had a training workshop. The topics focused on building relationships, understanding transactional selling vs consultative selling, business communication, case studies, and how to craft the right elevator pitches.
The 2nd day was actually a continuity of what the team experienced and learned on their trip to Charna Island.
Takeaways
The sales team is considered the foundation of revenue generation for every company, so it should be bold and ready to face challenges. Companies should not underestimate their sales team’s importance and vital role in their growth.
Sales teams not only add to the company’s revenue but also substantially impact brand reputation, long-term customer relationships, retention of customers, and overall business growth.
And the Bootcamp 2022 activity was just the statement that TekRevol is setting on course to get prepared and start creating and delivering in 2023.
