The font family that we have picked throughout our design is Roboto. We did introduce couple of variations in order to keep the font style eye catching for the audience. The primary purpose of Smackback is to provide convenience and eliminate the mundane task of responding to text messages from people’s to-dos. Client Brief
The client came to us, at Tekrevol, with an idea to build a communication tool. With Smackback, the client had a sort of hazy understanding of how he saw the app working. After a few constructive sessions with our team, together, we were able to give his idea a more concrete shape, and that's how the journey of building Smackback just got initiated. Initially, the brief was very simple, but as went on towards actually developing the app, we found out that there were multiple things that we could add to this idea in order to make this app offer much more utility.
The Problem
We often hear people complain about not being able to reply to texts. Messages in group chats keep on piling up, and at times you are just busy and unable to respond. Not being able to get back to people can become the cause of anxiety for you as well as for the people who are trying to reach you. Many of us prefer communicating through text messages instead of having to call. But as the overall lifestyle of people have changed and most of us are almost always on the go, keeping up with texting has become a challenge. So in an age where digital solutions for every imaginable problem exists, why haven't tech leaders figured out a way yet to solve this common problem?
Tekrevol's Solution
As we were able to identify the problem of the audiences and what features they needed in a message scheduling and communication app like Smackback, it helped us take the idea further and ensure that once the user downloads it, he/she doesn’t need to ever worry about replying back to text messages in a timely manner ever again.
Basic apps that offer a very similar functionality to Smackback were already available for download on both the Google Play and Apple App Store, but they either lacked the many features that we believe should have been there or were too dull to ensure that users had a lively interaction with them.
